Struggling to fit in as a “corporate girlie”

Tbh i have never felt like a “corporate girlie” and i always felt kinda turned off by this term but the fact is that I AM one… I mean no hate to corporate girlies but these are the reasons why i struggle being a corporate girlie: (despite working for 5 yrs LOL)

〰️ People judge your “professionalism”based on appearance, your clothes and the way u talk.

I’m used to speaking casual singlish alot so i need effort to speak proper english in order not to get judged for being “unprofessional”…

And since i’m straightforward, i tend to speak directly which is UNACCEPTABLE in the corporate world based on my experience. It’s not like im direct to the point that i hurt someone, its because they are so used to putting on their “professional” facade. Thats why i rather STFU, dont need to think whats correct thing to say hahaha

〰️ Socializing

Being forced to socialize with people u really dgaf about and making small talk etc like u need to act like u gaf about their lives when u really dont HAHAHA and nosy colleagues wanting to know about your personal life…

In the end i guess i should still try to learn how to be a corporate girlie but for now i’ll just take it as my daytime acting job to make it seem more fun 🫠
