“China fun meh?”

I went for a 4D3N trip to Cheng du for my incentive trip. I have been to different cities in China before but that was a few years back, while i was still flying as a steward, so i roughly knew what i was getting into, but Cheng Du properly surprised me???!!

There will be a few more post about other aspects of Cheng Du, but here is my summary of 2 of Cheng Du attractions 🤗🤗

Giant Panda Research Base: ⭐⭐⭐

For those who do not know, Cheng Du has a research base for Giant Pandas, like what??!! I was rather excited given that i was expecting loads of pandas just lazing around and munching on bamboos, but nothing could have prepared me for the amount of ground we have to cover just to see one…..After getting into the park, it took me 1 hour to walk in just to see the first panda. Well i saw a panda but we spent about 5 minutes there taking pictures before we moved on to the next panda? In my head i was just thinking ok now that im in the area where they are chilling, it shouldnt be long till i see the next one. Boy was i wrong, i spent another 45 minutes walking to see the next one, and this cycle repeated itself. Halfway through i just gave up and left the park, in total i probably spent about 4-5 hours in the park, but only for 20+ minutes i was able to observe the pandas, before i have to continue moving. It is not because i was following a tour, but rather because of crowd control from the park. Do you guys think it is worth it? 🤔

Tai Koo Li: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Aside from the Giant Panda Research Base, there are so many places to visit that i feel are much better time spent. An example will be TaiKoo Li area, it is a shopping district, similar to our Orchard, but even better. The Chinese style architecture with modern takes are breathtaking, just imagine the storefront of your favourite luxury brand, but designed with a chinese palace doorway 😍😍
