0.63cbm Taobao Full Height Wardrobe!🥰✨

Been a shopper on taobao since forever and taking a leap of faith to customise this full height wardrobe!!!

Came in 3 large packages as they were in pieces, so heavy that even 2 delivery men could not carry them🤣

💭 WHY CUSTOMISE FROM TAOBAO?

I was also considering to just get from IKEA but existing listings max height was 2.4m and about $800-900 for 2m wide one. Also to note that I have never enquired to customise from IKEA so I’m not sure of the cost for apple-to-apple comparison.

I also wanted the curved feature and also maximum length to fit this space instead of a wide gap between the switch. Also did not get ID to make as we wanted to save cost since we already exceeded budget there.

✨ ABOUT THE WARDROBE

This wardrobe was customised according to the top beam and also skirting measurements! Seller also included side board for the right side area based on the skirting thickness that I sent across.

It was a little tricky to measure the most accurate height length so we ended up with a 3-3.5cm gap at the top. 1cm would have been the ideal situation to seal with silicone but we also didn’t want to risk it. So we asked the seller for an additional 1cm buffer but ended up with too big of a gap.

As there was an extra piece of backing board, we DIY-ed it with an electric saw and used the pieces to close the gap at the top (end results of it not in pictures!)

👍 4 stars because I was able to customise the internal compartments to what I require, the curved feature and also full height! I also had help from installer as well as family member who could help with the DIY portion. Installer took 5-6 hours to fix the whole wardrobe with only a short break.

Would totally recommend to get a taobao installer because the wardrobe did not come with instructions! The clothes rod also had to be cut as it was too long to be fitted in.

If I did not have these help I would have rated it a 2 star for all the trouble🤣
