Our household must haves - Taobao version!

Are we getting lazy if we’re getting these household essentials from Taobao? 🥲 we’ve been restocking these items from Taobao mostly via the 249 free shipping promo… cos to #BeReal we can’t say no to free shipping AND cheaper items huhuhu 😗

1. Our laundry essentials

If you’ve seen our previous post, we used to use some random brand for laundry beads and colour catchers (but we’ve since upgraded to these more premium brands 😂)

We’ve also bought laundry pods from Taobao before! But we used them all up before we took a photo 🥲

2. Drain/Plughole Filters!

We have the sticky ones for our floor traps and the tiny nets for our kitchen sink! One traps hair, the other traps food bits to prevent sink clogs, just like how I have trapped Frog into marriage and being my slave forever 🤭 (just kidding it was 100% consensual don’t report us to the police)

The sink nets have to be bought in bulk so we usually have like 200 of them just sitting around in our cupboard 😂 but they are super light so 100% advisable to tag them together with bulky purchases!

3. Sponges

The wood pulp sponges are AMAZING for cleaning greasy bowls (and for some reason they don’t become gross and smelly like your usual yellow sponge) but they do wear out quite fast so we tend to buy a few at one go.

Also we discovered the SUPER LONG wood pulp sponge which acts as a splash guard! Basically we leave it at the side of the sink so it catches any water that splashes out and pools on the countertop, preventing drips that could get onto our carpentry (and also our shirts).

🏡 Our Home Essentials from Taobao thoughts:

- Free sea shipping under the 249 promo is AMAZING 🤩 but sea shipping does take quite long so you will have to plan ahead if you want these cost savings! We tend to also buy bigger quantities and do a haul of lots of different products to qualify for the shipping (you will need to buy like maybe a million sink nets if you’re relying on that to hit the minimum 249 😂)

- We are aware that our downy might not be the real downy and our kinbata might not be the real kinbata 😂 cos we live in a world of frauds and scams but we’re generally ok with that as long as the products work as promised (they do!) It’s tempting to always try to get the cheapest items on Taobao but we are more cautious for things we eat/apply (eg food, toothpaste) and stick to highly rated stores with many reviews for those. but we are always happy to buy our drain stickers from random stores to get a good deal 😆
