NYC is much more than skyscrapers, busy sidewalks, piles of garbage bags, and cars honking in traffic. These spots will transport you to a place you would never expect to find in the stereotypical version of NYC!

✨ Washington Mews This is a charming cobblestone street in Greenwich Village that is lined with NYU offices and faculty housing. While it is technically private, the block is often open to the public for strolling.

✨ The Seaport This is a historic district with fabulous waterfront views of NYC’s famous bridges. Most of the streets are for pedestrians only. The area always reminds me of Boston!

✨ Brooklyn Bridge Park This park along the waterfront has some of the best views of the downtown Manhattan skyline. It’s filled with piers and modern landscaping.

✨Minton Tiles at Bethesda Arcade Central Park is an escape from the concrete jungle aesthetic of NYC, but the Bethesda Arcade in the middle of the park is so beautiful. It looks European!

✨ Pomander Walk This is a private residential street on the Upper West Side, but you can look through the gate at this beautiful stretch of homes. I got lucky and a resident let me in to take a photo!
