everytime i go jb i alw walk past this restaurant cos it looks hella expensive and yo gurlie dont got that typa money 🥲 but when i went w my sis, she introduced me to this place and i realised it wasnt all the expensive! but trust me the interior looks so expensive i assumed the food there was like sgd30 per pax or smth but in fact they have set meals which are pretty filling from like arnd sgd15-20/25 depending on which set you choose! they have SO MANY soup options that look AMAZING so i think its definitely so much more worth it than going to haidilao 🫢 one downside is that i noticed my chicken shabu was frozen so i couldnt really tear it apart to boil separately but no biggie cos the meat cooks really quickly despite being only slightly thawed.

my personal opinion: i didnt like the salmon shabu but i enjoyed the barramundi shabu, the pork shabu was standard but was towards the fattier side! i tried 3 soup bases and my favourite was chicken pepper, then arashi milk, then tonkotsu! i found that the chicken pepper was EXTREMELY flavourful which could be a downside for some because it can get heavy on the pallet. arashi milk was so so mild and clean tasting and the flavour just gets better after cooking your shabu! i added my spicy sauce combination into my soup so that it was spicy and more flavourful and i recommend doing that! not too big fan of tonkotsu in general cos i js think its really basic but its a safe option if youre kot feeling adventurous! dont get me wrong, it was still a really good soup !!

also ordered the black sesame ball on the side and i really enjoyed it 😫 im a black sesame fanatic and this fried bssm ball really hit the spot!! the outside is so crispy and qq - literally like doink doink texture (help im so bad at describing 😰) and inside is like SO SOFT omg the textures were so memorable. and it didnt even taste oily at all ; it felt so clean and easy to eat so i really loved this appetizer a lot!
