Belly button piercing rejected after 11 months💔

My boyfriend sister and I have a sibling tradition. Every year on her birthday, we get a new piercing. We started out this tradition back in 2021.

I had 6 piercings in total but down to 5 now. My nipples, 2 ear lobe piercings, septum, and nose. Had my belly button, but u can see it sadly REJECTED on me.

Getting my belly button pierced was something I always wanted but was too self-conscious to get because I'm plus size and got a belly. So I finally decided to get it and immediately noticed issues.

Now I am no piercer, but I immediately was upset because my piercing was not even ON my belly button piercer pierced above my belly button. Is this normal?

I googled and found some other people's is like that too, but to me, I honestly don't think that's right. Shouldn't the bar go in my the top part of my belly button and out through the center? That's how my sister's was pierced.

After about a month I noticed my piercing was VERY painful and I went and got a longer bar put in and then went back down to the shorter bar after it seemed healed because the bar was too long it was always getting caught on stuff and looking weird pointing out in my shirts whenever I sat down.

Almost a whole year went by with no issues until I noticed the amount of skin around the bar was getting less and less. Until one day, it was literally hanging on by a small slither of skin when I realized it was rejecting. So I made the decision to just take it out all together.

I am so annoyed that I wasted money. I would like to get it repierced in the future, but by a piercer that does it right.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the dark scar left behind? I have tried many things, from tea tree oil to scar oils to coco butter. Do you have any piercings that rejected? If so, how? Comment down below✨️
