Baby FUN FACT🤰🏻

Did you know that babies can have hiccups when they’re still in the womb?… YES!

These adorable little hiccups are actually really important because those movements help prepare their respiratory system for life outside.

They help develop & strengthen the baby's respiratory muscles, preparing them for breathing after birth. It's just one of the many amazing ways babies get ready for the outside world!

& you can actually feel from the outside of your belly when your baby is hiccuping. It kind of feels like baby is doing some light kicking but it’s repetitive, almost like a rhythmic heartbeat. You may also feel and see your abdomen, move downward & outward.

It was one of my favorite whimsical experiences with my first pregnancy, however, I did not experience it during my second pregnancy. Not baby will hiccup in the womb, and not every pregnant woman will feel it.
