Maturing is realizing..

It’s time to start distancing yourself from childhood friends.

Now I’m not saying to distance yourself for absolutely no reason. In my situation I realized it’s necessary because I’m surrounded by people who don’t care about me. I realized that when things were going good for me, they’d be distant, would blatantly ignore me when I’m talking about my experience somewhere and even exclude me.

I thought back to the friendship since the beginning and I realized how I was always treated. Always the butt of the jokes, always excluded, always a last thought but somehow I always was the shoulder to cry on…

I’m teaching myself how to be comfortable alone and yes it’s uncomfortable but it’s well needed. I’d rather be alone than be surrounded by people who lowkey hate me.
