It’s been awhile since I’ve been to JB but here’s a fuss-free itinerary for you if you’re too lazy to plan like me (we literally went to JB without an itinerary 🫢). Most of the places are in Mount Austin area so it’s good that you get to save on grab fares! 😉

1️⃣ Bee Hive . The Place To Bee 🍯

Was recommended by a friend and we were lucky to reach at their opening time (11am) cos the crowd was slowly coming in during lunch! 😮‍💨 There were so many interesting honey dishes which were surprisingly good! You MUST try their pizzas and the cakes and I’m definitely going back for more 🤤

2️⃣ The Escaper（密室逃脱）👻

Escape rooms in JB are on another level and it’s sooo fun if you love horror and solving puzzles. We opted for the one without NPC so it’s less scary but it was still pretty fun with the darkness and jump scares 😱

3️⃣ BABANANA CRAFTS 😍

A cute store to get stationeries, gifts and random knick knacks - reminds me of Bangkok’s Daddy & the Muscle Academy. If you love these cutesy artsy stuff, this is the store for you! 🌸

💸 Damage: $0 cos we just there for the vibes

4️⃣ Good Husband Patisserie (Mount Austin) 🍰

A minimalist cafe with the prettiest cakes and drinks. The sweet cakes were pretty good though I preferred the savoury options. Not a fan of the drinks though as the Strawberry Matcha was so disappointing 😪

5️⃣ Sing V Austin 🎤

What’s a JB trip without singing karaoke? Around S$8 for a 3h KTV session, which comes with 2 jugs of drinks. Not the most worth package but it’s a good break from the 🥵 weather!

6️⃣ Goro Goro Hamburg Rice 🍛

Chanced upon this little Jap hamburg store and decided to give it a try as we had no dinner plans. And we did not regret it! 😋 This unassuming hamburg rice was so comforting and wholesome that we devoured the meal in silence. The fried chicken is a must get too cos it came so HOT and CRISPY I’m salivating thinking bout it now 🤤

7️⃣ FAMILY THAI SPA (MOUNT AUSTIN) 💆🏻‍♀️

One of the better massages out there! 👍🏻 We opted for the 1h Shoulder+Back & Foot Massage and it was really SHIOK cos the masseuses were guys. If you love painful massages, this is it! Ofc, you can ask them to reduce their strength if it’s too much for you 🤣 Shoutout to the red bean dessert after the massage cos that was just SO GOOD.
