Worth travelling up to Tromsø?

🧳 Another one of our highly anticipated trips: #tromsonorway ! It has always been a dream of mine and my family to visit a place we've never been before, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. We dreamed of #revengetravel , and Tromsø was at the top of our list!

🗻 The flight there was easy; it was a short, mere two hours by Widerøe Airlines, a Norwegian airline company. It was our first time flying with this airline, and despite what Google reviews said, we had a great experience (maybe we were lucky?). As we flew, the views gradually became whiter with all the snow-capped mountains, which got us super excited, especially since it’s 24/7 summer in Singapore.

🛴 Tromsø is a small town, and the city center can be covered in just a few hours with an #electricscooter . We used Lime or Bolt to rent them—just key in your credit card, and off you go. It's affordable and convenient, and we had a lot of fun riding these electric scooters around the city.

🏠 We checked into our apartment, Skaret by Vander, a serviced apartment facing #Fjellheisen . It was absolutely beautiful, period. The interior of the apartment was spacious enough for five people, and THE VIEW, WOW. Staying there was the best decision ever. We only paid $825 for 4 days and 3 nights, which was a fantastic deal.

🤩 It was a free and easy day for us to explore the town. We headed straight to the tiniest bar in the universe—such a cute spot! The hotdog and hot chocolate were nothing extraordinary, but we wanted to be basic and try them out, haha!

🧊 Another family-friendly activity we did was visiting the Magic Ice Bar in Tromsø. They have several locations, but since the town is small, we figured we had some time to check it out. Just remember to book in advance on their website! We opted for “Moment of Frost” which costs SGD32 per pax for a cocktail, hmm. For the experience? For sure. Again? Nah.

🍲 We then headed to their local supermarket and ended the night with some comforting hot Asian food. #madewithlove
