How to Travel LA Under $500 (5 Days)

Los Angeles might have a reputation for being expensive, but with this tips, you can explore the city without breaking the bank. Here’s how I managed to do it.

Accommodation

I stayed at a good hostel for just 💰Price:$120 - 5 nights. It’s called Freehand Los Angeles next to downtown LA.

The vibe was cool and it has a nice rooftop with a huge pool. I found it very worthy of the price I paid.

Transportation

The cheapest way to get around L.A is by using the metro or bus. Rides start at just 💰Price:$1.75. There’s also the option of paying $5 a day for unlimited metro rides.

Food

Most of my meals and snacks were from supermarkets. This way I saved no much money since eating at restaurants in LA is so expensive. My average cost a day for food was 💰Price:$30 to $40, which is really nice.

Attractions

L.A. has plenty of free attractions that you can prioritize visiting to save up money. Go to Santa Monica Pier, visit the famous Malibu beach, or go on the Hollywood Sign hike.
