Hey Zesties! 💛 I wanted to share my experience about the Facial Liposuction and Botox I did on March 2024 at ATOP Plastic Surgery Clinic in Korea! 💖 If you’ve struggled with stubborn face fat — no matter how much weight you lose — this might be the solution you’ve been looking for!

For some background, I’ve always had a baby face with some face fats especially around my jawline 😩 I really wanted that defined V-line look like those kpop stars. After months of research, I finally decided to try facial liposuction at ATOP 💆🏻‍♀️

Here’s how it went down:

The procedure was quick, low-pain, and surprisingly simple! On a pain scale, I’d give it a 1/10 😌 They start with a 3D-CT scan of your face to map out the exact areas of fat around your bone structure (so fancy!). I initially thought I needed buccal fat removal but they said I didn’t have a lot of buccal fat so I just did facial liposuction + botox (won’t be going into detail about botox as it’s quite normal in SG).

The best part? No incisions! 🎉 They used a 0.9mm microneedle to melt and suction the fat under my jawline — all without leaving scars 🙌🏻 I was under general anesthesia which was a very weird experience because I felt like I time travelled. The last thing I remembered was the surgeon counting down and the next thing I knew, I was awake on a comfy massage chair 😂 The treatment took just 20 minutes but they had to wait for me to wake up from anesthesia 😴

Post-procedure, the main challenge was the bruising and swelling — I seriously looked like a chipmunk for a few days! 🐿 The peak swelling hit on day three, but they give you a compression band to wear 24/7 for the first week (except when eating or showering). After that, you only need to wear it while sleeping for the next month (but I wore mine as much as I could). They also provide ice packs to help with the swelling, which worked wonders! ✨

In Korea, wearing a compression band is super normal, so I even went out shopping with it on, and people were so kind to me! 😂 I did pair it with a bucket hat and sunglasses which looked a little sus, but it was all part of the recovery adventure. The swelling started to go down after about a week, but the full results took 1 to 3 months to really show up 💫

The Results?

Girl, let me tell you — so worth it! 💯 Although you can’t really see much of a difference in the before & after pictures, I think I really notice it more in real life! My face looks more defined, and my friends definitely noticed the difference. It wasn’t an overnight change, but once the swelling went down, my V-line was a lot more obvious 🥰

💰 Price: 2,200,000 won + 10% VAT

Pro Tips:

1. Stock up on instant pumpkin soup 🥣: It’s a game-changer for recovery! It helps reduce swelling and is easy on your body after surgery. Plus, it’s delicious and super easy to find in Korea. I lived off it for the first week and even lost a bit of weight, which was a bonus!

2. Use the ice packs religiously ❄: The ice packs they give you are key for reducing swelling and bruising. Applying them for 15-20 minutes per hour (whenever you can) during the first few days makes a huge difference in how comfortable you feel.

3. Wear your compression band faithfully ☝🏻: This is crucial! The compression helps prevent fluid buildup, promotes skin contraction, and ensures your skin molds perfectly to your new contours. Trust me, wearing it consistently will make your results smoother and more defined.

4. Bring a bucket hat and sunglasses 🧢😎: Post-surgery, the compression band isn’t the cutest accessory, but a bucket hat and oversized sunglasses will be your best friends! They cover up the band and bruising perfectly so you can still feel somewhat put together while out and about.

‼️ Disclaimer: While the procedure removes fat, it’s important to maintain a healthy weight afterward, as new fat can accumulate if you gain weight again. So, it’s essential to keep up with a good diet and lifestyle to maintain your results!

Also, this procedure was sponsored for me but I’m not paid or incentivised in any way to write this post. I received a lot of questions in my dms so I just wanted to share my experience and 6 months update! I also did a YouTube video in March on Overkill’s channel if you’d like to watch our entire experience.

If you’re considering facial liposuction but feeling a bit nervous, I hope this helps! It was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made, and the process was smooth with results that feel so natural 💖

Feel free to drop any questions — I’m happy to spill all the tea! ☕💬
