🥗 - my eating habits: i thought the only way 16 year old me could lose weight, build muscle, get faster, etc was by only eating salads. that’s how the media portrayed health to me so i followed suit. i was no where even close to hitting my protein intake which wouldve helped me lose that weight, get those abs, whatever! my friends, please eat. please enjoy that sandwich, please eat that calzone.
😴 - rest days: i never took a rest day… for two years straight. (maybe a sick day here & there but that was two years ago my memory is not that sharp!) i genuinely believed i would hit my goals if i was constantly working out! i never let my body rest & heal to grow those muscles. please please please take your rest days !!
🎯 - target fat loss: i absolutely HATE all the videos online that told me i could target my fat loss. unfortunately, we cannot target where we lose fat. i spent hours trying the newest ab workout trend to “lose your lower belly”. the only way to lose fat is in a caloric deficit. ways you can go further into a calorie deficit is to exercise like strength training, cardio, pilates, yoga, cycling, etc.
