Self-Care Ideas for Burnt-Out Students
feeling burnt out with all the schoolwork? Trust me, it happens to all of us-- here are some of my favorite self-care ideas that have helped me get back on track when I’m feeling drained during the school year.
set boundaries – give yourself permission to say “no” to extra commitments when you’re feeling overwhelmed. it’s okay to prioritize your own mental health over another meeting or event, and trust me: your friends will get it; we’re all busy!
schedule breaks – block out time in your schedule for breaks, just like you would for class or study sessions. even 15 minutes to step away and reset can make a huge difference in terms of mental health and feeling better.
find small moments of joy – whether it’s grabbing your favorite coffee, going for a walk, or reading a chapter of a good book, make sure you’re doing things (i like to call them side quests) that make you happy throughout your week. little moments of happiness and fun go a long way when you’re stressed.
