People don’t talk about this place enough!!

Wild honey has honestly always had a special place in my heart, it was the first “atas” brunch place my mother brought me too when covid restrictions were easing up, and every other time I’ve been there the food NEVER disappoints.Their newest outlet at bugis opened up recently this year and here’s my review on the place!!

AMBIENCE: 10/10

We went to this outlet closer during dinner time, and since this place is known as a brunch spot the restaurant was really empty HOWEVER, in the best way possible. Man where do I begin, everything about this place was homely yet stylish and oh my god the lighting was perfect not to mention the furnishing was sooo comfortable and lush.the soft yellow lights and the quietness provided a rather intimate setting perfect for some deep conversations. I remember sitting there for more than an hour aft we had our dinner just becoz we were enjoying the atmosphere Soo much.

FOOD:

PERSIAN: 8/10

This dish is exclusive to the bugis outlet and all I can say is WOW I’ve never tasted anything like it. The pears are poached in a saffron and orange liquid that provide just the right amount of tang to it that compliments the almost savoury notes of the waffle. BUT the REAL deal is the saffron and honey cream sandwiched in between each waffle.It was genuinely what of the best tasting things I’ve had if I could I’d ask them for a bowl of just that and that could have been my meal. Fr amazing dessert dish.

ENGLISH: 7/10

Pretty good I’d say, you’ve got your standered items you’d expect in an English, noting was bad, and everything was excuted perfectly. something that stood out was the turkey croquette it was crispy and had a soft salty buttery inside, it pared well with the fresh tomatoes to cut through the taste. Of course, if you’re more adventurous I’d suggest you take other things on their menu, this one’s a bit basic but nonetheless really solid.

BOULEVARD ST MICHEL’s : 10/10

If you could only get one thing on the menu let it be this one. Ok maybe I’m biased to breakfast food but when I say this dish almost made me dance I mean it. Every single bite I took was Soo good when I got to the end of my plate I was really contemplating getting a new serving of it 🤤. So basically what you have is a parmesan crumb poached egg atop a savoury French toast with a tomato jam candied bacon and a parmesan cheese soufflé along with some vine tomatoes of course. When I cut into the egg and it oozed onto the bread and I took that first bite getting every element of the plate into my mouth I was transported to heaven immediately,it took me everything I had to eat slowly and not gobble the whole thing down😭. Their most interesting thing is definitely the spinach and parmesan soufflé. It was Soo smooth throughout it honestly had the texture of soft butter something you wouldn’t expect to get from spinach. Overall best dish of the night!

Overall, I’d say this experience was a 10/10 and I would definitely come back here to try more of their food items! I’m honestly so surprised I don’t see people talking about this place more on social media like other cafes. For a place that has won multiple awards and are charging just about the same as some local cafes in SG with better quality food and bigger portions, I’d say your getting the bang for ur buck. So do check this place out!!!
