October is the off-season in Sanya, making it the perfect time to visit! Flights and hotel prices are incredibly attractive. Especially now, right after the typhoon, there are fewer people, and it’s a great time for beachcombing. You might even stumble upon some unexpected treasures along the shore! 🌴✨

✅ Itinerary

Day 1️⃣: West Island - Taichung Vinegar Hotpot - Yacht Port - Lover’s Bay

Day 2️⃣: Nanshan Temple - Tianya Town - Coconut Dream Corridor - Boat 87 Seafood - Yiheng Night Market

Day 3️⃣: Sun Bay - National Forest Park - Hu Po Herb Duck - Bo Hou Night Market

Day 4️⃣: Wuzhizhou Island - Houhai - cdf Duty-Free City - Dia Dia Coconut Chicken

⚠️ Travel Tips

🚶 Don’t overload your itinerary: Just 1-2 activities per day are enough. Packing too much into one day will reduce the quality of your experience. It’s better to explore a few different bays at a relaxed pace!

🌞 Sun protection is a must: Sunglasses, sun-protective clothing, and a USB mini fan are essential when visiting Sanya.

🌊 West Island vs. Wuzhizhou Island: These two spots are quite different, so don’t just choose one based on someone else’s advice. Wuzhizhou Island offers crystal-clear “jelly seas,” perfect for water sports and photo ops. West Island, with its strong local fishing village vibe, is ideal for beachcombing, sunset watching, and cycling along the coast.

🏖️ Best time for “glass sea” views: 12:00-17:00 is the perfect window. If you’re planning to wade in the water, wear flip-flops or water shoes. Sand in sneakers isn’t fun! Also, avoid overcast days for those stunning blue waters—cloudy days will leave the sea looking dull.

🏠 Where to stay: Sanya Bay is close to the airport and train station. Dadonghai is cost-effective, and staying downtown offers great convenience for getting around. These areas are ideal for budget travelers.

👗 For beach photo shoots: Bring a few bright, solid-colored dresses. If you didn’t pack enough, check out First Market or Yiheng Night Market—you can find 3 dresses for just 100 RMB!

👶 Night markets: They’re not the best option for families with kids, as they’re crowded, but they’re great for grabbing snacks or browsing clothes and accessories.

🎫 Discounted tickets: Bring your student ID, military ID, or any other discount cards. Some attractions offer reduced admission prices.

🌇 Best sunset spot: The Coconut Dream Corridor is unbeatable for sunsets. Avoid navigating directly to “Coconut Dream Corridor,” though, as it’s crowded and the beach can be a bit messy. Instead, head to “Haiyun Hotel” or “Haiyue Plaza” for a better view and cleaner surroundings—perfect for sunset photos! 📸🌅
