How we spent our date at Suntec!

Disclaimer❗️this isn’t a recommendation post or anyt, just a lil diary entry on my boyfriend and I’s date night!

For context, my bf and I are currently interning and have limited time together, so we’ve made Saturdays our “date days” where we spend the entire day together, doing anything we want :]

This week we went to Suntec City. It was actually a last minute decision; we were supposed to go to the beach but upon checking the weather forecast the night before, we realised it would be a poor life decision to do so.

📍1st stop: MACCHA HOUSE 🍵

The plan was to eat here for lunch as we’ve been wanting to try the place. Suntec used to have an outlet but it closed down, so we ate at the PLQ outlet instead (only 5 MRT stops away).

We ordered:

ꕥ Double mini donburi set; salmon + pork (7/10)

ꕥ Tempura udon (7.5/10)

ꕥ Iced matcha (3.5/10)

ꕥ Iced matcha latte (7/10)

ꕥ Matcha tiramisu (10/10)

The tiramisu was SAUR GOOD you HAVE TO TRY IT. Also, the box is so qute! Overall, you won’t be missing out on anything if you only come here for dessert, but it’s a decent meal option too! If you’re a tempura fan like me I’d definitely recommend the tempura as the prawn 🍤 and kabocha one was really good. But the star of the show is the tiramisu for sure.

📍2nd stop: JELLYCAT HUNTING 🐈‍⬛️

I really want Jellycats but the prices are stupid so I’ve been hunting for the cheapest Jellycats in SG.

Today we went to:

So far, Mothercare has the cheapest prices, but Flower Matters has the most variety. Also, I REALLY LOVE the Halloween collection I need it NOW ISTG

📍3rd stop: MOVIE 🎬

We caught the 4pm Joker: Folie à Deux movie atGolden Village Suntec. The movie was disappointing. As a DC fan who found the first movie decent, I thought this one would show the “love” story of Joker and Harley Quinn. However, it was VERY loosely based on the actual lore, which made the film feel very “empty”. While the scenes were captivating in the moment, we exited the cinema feeling like we hadn’t watched anything at all, because the plot amounted to nothing.

📍4th stop: AMEISING LIVEHOUSE 🍸

We came here for drinks to end the night but unlike their name, they’re not very Ameising 😮‍💨 I don’t even remember the contents of our cocktails, but mine contained lemon juice and soda. Drinks were quite meh and they had a $60 PER PAX min spend to sit inside? Be so fr man how is one person gonna down a tower by themselves? We sat outside which had a min spend of $8/pax and played Liar’s Dice till our below decent cocktails were finished.

P.S. A note to anyone who’d like to know, Suntec’s family rooms are great for a certain type of activity. Within the room there’s a smaller room with a bench, separated by a door that can be locked.

P.P.S. The Level 2 one at Tower 3 has a broken lock on the outer door. The inner door is fine though. But I dunno why there’s so many fucking families with diaper-wearing children at 10pm. *Three* families entered in the time we were inside. Jeez.
