My $30k stock portfolio at 21 yrs old 💰

At 21, I've managed to built a $30k stock portfolio. I started buying my first stock in 2021 when i just turned 18. It has always been a passion of mine since i was 15 years old. I've managed to keep my portfolio relatively safe and balanced with growth, even beating the S&P500 by 4.37% year-to-date. [If you take a look at my first post last month, my portfolio actually grew $2k from then haha]

To build a winning stock portfolio, you have to make sure you invest in companies with wide economic moat, leaders in their industry and it is also important to keep your portfolio diversified. Imagine building a football team -

You need to have Goalkeepers and defenders to protect you and also attackers to score the goal. In stock terms, the goalkeepers and defenders are more stable, lower growth stocks that provide stability to your portfolio [This includes healthcare stocks, consumer defensive, dividends stocks or maybe even index funds]

The attackers are smaller, riskier stocks with a lot of room for growth. [This includes small cap high growth stocks like PLTR, SOFI etc]

In every football team, the midfield has to be strong as it is the core of the team. The 'midfielders' yall have to invest in are those big and established industry leaders with wide economic moat. These midfielders provide a balance of growth and stability. [These includes blue chips like GOOGL, META, MSFT etc]

Depending on your strategy and risk level(whether you're looking for growth or stability), it is always important to allocate your money wisely.
