INVEST instead of spending on manicures!!💶

*This is a personal choice and I think sharing this perspective might be helpful to some of you 🍋8 girlies out there💖

I used to spend almost $100 on manicures, but whenever I’m going to my nail appointment, I find myself dreading the experience. I find myself wanting to cancel the appointment but I tell myself to focus on the end result, which is freshly manicured nails🥹

If you’re like me and dislike sitting in the chair doing nothing (other than staring at my own nails I guess), do consider a GEL MANICURE AT HOME💅🏻 Not only do I dislike sitting in the chair for 1-2 hours (bless the nail tech on trying to be so perfect with her designs🥹🥲), but I also find it very awkward when the nail techs chat amongst themselves! Idk if I should laugh together with them because I can clearly hear their conversations🤣 Or should I keep a straight face?! It’s even more dreadful if they don’t speak a language I understand🥹 I just feel like they are talking about me, even though they are not!! Hahaha

Anyway, the above are just some dreadful things about having your nails done at a salon, don’t get me started on the hard-selling of packages😩😤

I was shopping online one day and saw a full gel nail kit at such a low price! I decided to just get it since its cheaper than having a basic gel manicure done outside. I LOVE the thought of having an entire set of machine and nail tools all for my own hands only, because *hygiene sisterrr*!

After my first round of attempt, I immediately went to buy a lot more tools and gel nail colours🥹🥹 Everything is SO AFFORDABLE and pretty. And its exactly the same product as what some nail salons will use! Of course I won’t be able to come up with designs, patterns, etc from the get-go, but everything can be learned🫶🏼 Luckily for me I’m not too huge a fan of 3D nail designs so I’m not losing out on much doing my own nails at home.

I mean I barely spent $40 and this initial cost will probably last me at least 6 months or more! 👏🏼JUST THINK ABOUT THE EXTRA MONEY YOU CAN USE FOR INVESTING👏🏼👏🏼

Okie not forcing anyone here, but really just sharing that this makes so much sense to me! I don’t know why I haven’t thought of doing it earlier. If you don’t mind spending more, you can look into getting semi-cured gel nails as well and use the UV lamp at home💜

There are other local brands too if I’m not wrong but I haven’t explored much. I personally find nail stickers with a gel top coat to not be lasting as I do housework and wash my very long hair daily!
