I recently just decided to quit cold turkey smoking 🍃 and it has been a journey to say the least. Going from smoking before eating, watching tv, working out, and pretty much anytime I would do anything; to not smoking at all has been such an interesting route. Trying these new hobbies and getting out my comfort zone have been amazing ways to help me out my head:
Wellness Habits
🧘 Habit 1: Yoga/Working Out
🧘 How It Helps Me: Relieves thoughts of anger or negativity and allows for me to release any toxins in my body from smoking.
🧘 Habit 2: Redecorating/Interior Design
🧘 How It Helps Me: Getting new pieces to add around my room and make my space me has been a fun way to get out my head. Throw some music on and get to it! Make it fun!
🧘 Habit 3: Trying New Shows
🧘 How It Helps Me: It distracts me from the idea of smoking and allows me to get creative and watch things I’ve never thought about watching before. Finding out what I like and what makes me feel good!
🧘 Habit 4: Going on Walks
🧘 How It Helps Me: Getting out the house and feeling the air around me has really be a huge dopamine boost and has made this transition so much easier. I change my trails up and throw my Apple Watch on to really watch my numbers and make it fun!
