GETTING PLASTIC SURGERY

What did I get?

I opted for the INCISIONAL DOUBLE EYELID SURGERY which involves cutting any excess skin, fat, and muscle for creating the desired crease on the eyelid. There is a non-incisional method (sewing method) that is scarless, cheaper, and has a faster recovery time. But it is reversible and there is a risk of it going away as you grow older. I wanted something more permanent! And I’m ok with light scarring.

How much was it and where?

I did this in 2019 with Dr Andrew Tay for approx 4.2k (this is a very rough estimate of the total cost. I’ve forgotten how much it is exactly)

Any complications?

After a few months, my left eyelid crease did not extend as far out as I wanted it to but this was because my eyelid was just SO fatty to begin with. Dr agreed to fix it for me for no extra surgical cost. I just paid for the Local anaesthesia and sedation.

How long is the downtime?

The first few weeks were a lot of dark bruising with some pain. Swelling goes down after 3 months. You will have to avoid eye make up and contacts for a few weeks as well but this is dependent on your Dr’s advice.

Any regrets?

NO!!! No regrets at ALL. It was definitely the best purchase of my life. My confidence sky rocketed through the roof and I’m so grateful that my eyelids turned out so natural.
