Compiling some places I liked while hanging out with friends in Shibuya at night 🥂

📍Mag's Park Rooftop Shibuya Crossing : With a ¥1500 entry fee that comes with a drink, you get a great view of shibuya crossing from the top. You can catch a view from both the indoor bar area and also the outdoor observation deck. You do get a pretty good viewpoint so I guess just worth doing it once!

📍Shibuya Yokocho : I guess if you're not sure what to eat and want variety, this is a good place to visit! Really lively and gives off very local japanese vibes with lots of traditional street market stalls. Wanted to call this touristy, but there were also a lot of locals there enjoying the food. This Located under Miyashita Park shopping mall which has a nice green rooftop space to chill!

📍Toridoshi Shibuya: Really liked this izakaya for the food and restaurant vibes! The interior is quite trendy and has a nice open kitchen. I loved the potato salad and croquette. Wanted to try the recommended chicken but they ran out. We had to queue for this so definitely book in advance!

📍Teppan Otokodojo Shibuya: Amazing food and great atmosphere! The whole izakaya was buzzing with energy and the staff were really energetic calling out to each other at work. They even made the whole shop celebrate someone's birthday haha. They have two types of seats too the teppan ones right in front of the open kitchen and tatami seats, so two different experiences! They have a wide variety of appetizers, sashimi and dishes but my top pick has to be the omelette mentaiko egg roll !

📍TIGHT Bar : Cool little bar we found at a street where all the restaurants were super tiny! Like literally the bar was TIGHT, with just a bar counter for 6 people to sit. BUT after talking to the bartender , found that they've fit around 30 people in the bar along the stairs which is crazy to imagine! Drinks were great too I tried his homemade orange gin! There were a few people who came alone too just to chat with the bartendar or whoever's there, which is pretty nice!

📍The SG Bar : This is rated as one of the best bars in the world so definitely got to try it! Cocktails were indeed amazing. The space was pretty small though and was seated at the bar counter. They do have a basement area but I guess it was full. I had the Cheek to Cheek is Back cocktail for ¥1600 a little pricy but soo goood. It was bacardi based with berries, yogurt and mascarpone-yum.

📍Whales of August: Another cocktail bar i love at a nice cozy space in the basement. Their original cocktails are all named after movies, and you can even request for one to be custom made. I ordered the 500 days of Summer which was gin based and really good! Also drinks were not expensive around ¥600 - ¥800. But you do pay a low cover charge of ¥500 if I remembered correctly.

📍Dogenzaka Church: Ok so this might not be up everyone's alley since they really replicated the bar to look like…a church with waitresses all dressed in nun outfits. But it's still an interesting concept! It's more of a bar club and there's DJ's playing each night. Drinks are just your usual bar drinks. They've recently started charging an entrance fee to redeem for a drink...I guess to avoid people who go in for pictures.

📍Mikkeller Tokyo: Didn't know this craft beer place was actually from Copenhagen! The location is in the back streets of Shibuya so quite offbeat and quiet. I also recently found out it's also where most of the love hotels are lol. They have a open space bar one the first floor and a quieter space on the second floor. Definitely a nice casual place to chill with a beer!
