Hi all!

Disclaimer I’m not saying I’m at the best shape or look of my life right now, but I felt like I have glowed up 🫢 so I’m here to share what I did!

1. MAKEUP

Not everyone needs to wear makeup but that’s honestly a big part of my glow up tbh. Not every makeup style suits me so i experimented alot. Back in 2016 the “insta makeup” was trending everywhere with the angled brows and heavy eyeshadow and matte lips and wah I did that cause I thought it suits me, and when I look back at old photos I was like what was I doing. Thanks to tiktok tbh that I’ve learn a makeup style that I liked and I feel suits me better.

I found that I have a low visual weight and my undertone was a “Cool winter” so I used colours that suit me.

I used to use orangey reds that completely washed me out and looked like I was wearing clown makeup 🤡

Now I go for more cool tone colours like greys purples and nude glossy lips

2. SKINCARE

Honestly skincare is the most important part of glowing up I feel!

My skin use to be horrible, I don’t have pictures of it cause I would always cover it up with heavy foundation.

I use to use skincare products that were not at all suited for my skin type and they would break me out so much and left my face red

Now when I want to buy a new skin care product I will research alot on the product and only buy it when I know it 100% suits my skin type!

My skin type is oily and sensitive so I use alot of skincare that has a calming ingredient inside.

I use to not use moisturiser cause I felt it made my face more oily, but I realised I used to the wrong type!

Now I only use gel type moisturiser as they don’t leave my skin feeling oily at all!

3. WEIGHT LOSE

Losing weight is not for everyone and everyone should be confident in their body! But for me I felt like losing weight made me feel more confident and happier! During Covid I lost a significant amount of weight like 10kg but it was not sustainable at all!

Why? It was because I restricted myself alot and I didn’t even put salt into my food. I didn’t feel any joy in eating and the only thing that kept me going was me thinking I’ll feel hotter when i lost the weight. So after I lost the weight i quickly gained it back and I felt so ugly and fat that I started to develop bulimia (partly cause of my ex who kept saying I was fat) but I realised it’s a vicious cycle and I cannot be doing that forever.

So I signed up for a gym membership and started working out at least 3 times a week! I’m not at my ideal goal weight now but I am more confident and happier with my body and I don’t restrict myself to not eat “unhealthy” food! I just eat what I feel like now!

PS. I also got double eyelid surgery that’s why I glowed up also HAHAHAHAHA
