Fall In Virginia

I swear the Old Dominion was made for fall! Have you seen Virginia in orange?

We've got:

Howl O Scream at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. This year is its 25th anniversary, so they're pulling out all the stops. Fairytale characters gone wrong, clowns on the run... it's Halloween at the World's Most Beautiful Theme Park.

Halloween Haunt at Kings Dominion. Haunt has always leaned into being a very mature event. They've got psychotic circuses, ill fated bayous, a zombie apocalypse... and that's between the park's usual haunted orchards and alien bases.

The Colonial Parkway in Williamsburg is such a scenic drive once the leaves are turning! There are quite a few trails and overlooks to stumble upon throughout the drive. And Colonial Williamsburg shines with the autumn foliage too. It goes without saying that the ghost tours hit different this time of year.

Naturally, the Shenandoah National Park is gorgeous this time of year too! I end up working weekends this time of year (HOS) so by the time I get back to the mountains, the leaves have fallen. But if you're able, definitely take a weekend to enjoy the Shenandoah during fall.

Virginia is a really great state to experience the season in full!
