a month into uni 🫦✨

five weeks into uni, and wow. it has definitely been a ride.

it was definitely daunting when i first thought of it and i kept scrolling through lemon8 for tips and advices on how to survive the uni life! but here are my thoughts on it so far 🧚‍♀️

thankfully, it has been pretty managable! (this could be due to the fact that i'm taking mostly core modules, so i've not dived deeper into my course-specific modules) while there are some... interesting characters in my project groups, it's still decent! 😮‍💨

workload wise, the deadlines are spread out across the weeks, but there are times where i felt like it wasn't enough. i had a statistics report due last week, and i spent up until 5am to complete it despite being on task and managing the time i had properly 🥹 this not only happened to me but to my other peers as well. other than that, the tasks given are still doable 👍

the bigger question / concern: friends. unfortunately for me, it's still a little tough to open up and make new friends not only because of my introverted personality, but there are limited opportunities or platforms to build deep connections with other students. while most of the people i met are 'hi/bye friends', i'm grateful to meet a handful of like-minded people (who match my freak and vice versa) 🫂

while this is only the start, i'm just taking it slow and steady. as they always say, university is a marathon, not a sprint. i'm just taking where it takes me now while enjoying the final years of my education before embarking to new things.
