is west side the best area to study? 📒

as a westie myself, i could not think of any study spots that are not cafe or library, it’s so hard to find one! that’s why sometimes i envy those staying around tampines, as they have our tampines hub to enjoy, whether the library is crowded or not. oh well, i’ve managed to find some unique study spots in the west, so here’s what i’ve got…

1. Burger King SAFRA Choa Chu Kang

continuing on the studying at fast food resturants, i would like to introduce this burger king outlet at SAFRA Choa Chu Kang . this outlet is also burger king first drive-thru in singapore! the outlet is decently big size, and provide ample seating. there are some usb-c charging ports on some of the seats as well. with decent air-con and low footfall during weekdays, i can get a quick study session after enjoying my meal there!

2. One Holland Village

opened less than a year ago, one holland village is a low-rise urban hub inspired by the rhythm of the surrounding shophouses and streets. it’s also one of the few pet-friendly malls, so don’t be surprised if you see pets around! as part of its open-space concept, there are free seating areas at level 1 and level 4, where people can gather. level 4, being more secluded from shops, is great for a quick study session. but, seats fill up fast on weekends, so they’re not always guaranteed.

3. Koufu (Fusionopolis)

you can study at this food court! koufu even states that you’re welcome to study outside their stated peak hours (12pm-3pm), provided you make a purchase. located at one-north MRT Station (CC23), the place is spacious with plenty of seats, so whether you’re studying, having a coffee chat, or enjoying a quick bite, there’s room for everyone. note that it’s closed on weekends!
