I’m a huge lover of bread and pasta, so I had high hopes after seeing some good reviews about this glasshouse bakery-cafe at CHIJMES. It’s said on their website that their breads, pastries, and pastas were made in house. My friend and I went for dinner around 7pm, and there were still plenty of seats. We got a cozy spot in the little alcove at the back, which gave off great vibes with a nice ambiance. There weren’t many bread or pastry choices left by then, but here’s what we ordered: 2 drinks, 2 spicy seafood aglio olio, 1 hot honey butter tater tots, and 1 pastry.

The verdict:

ꕤ Iced chai latte: not really my thing, a bit too spicy without much chai flavour (4/10)

ꕤ Pastry: taste was decent tho it was cold & hard (5/10)

ꕤ Food: loved the tater tots! the hot honey butter was unique, and the portion was generous (8/10)

ꕤ Price: it’s on the pricier side—definitely not a budget-friendly spot

ꕤ Location: 5mins walk from City Hall mrt

Overall, the food was good, but since I went later in the evening, the pastries had probably turned cold. If you're planning to visit, I'd suggest going earlier for fresher options ;)
